President Bola Tinubu has received praise from Works Minister David Umahi for his “transformational impact” on the Southeast and the nation as a whole.
Speaking to the Ebonyi Muslim community in Abakaliki during the 2025 Sallah festival, Umahi gave Tinubu credit for fostering national integration and undoing years of federal neglect.
Many Southeast states had no federal projects prior to this. However, the government presence is evident throughout the region today. Umahi said, “That is true national integration.”
Additionally, he commended the Tinubu administration for promoting a “unprecedented” degree of religious inclusivity and peace. Umahi cited the President’s participation in the Pope’s inauguration as a historic and singular act that demonstrated Tinubu’s sincere regard for all religions.
